Cherries, Minerality & Notes of Mistruth

A little humour at our own expense

Our website's AI function, without having been asked to do so, generated the following blog post for us. It promised this would lead to stratospheric audience engagement and subsequent sales success. Not convinced. Seems a little... misleading. Comments inside the brackets [ ...] are me.

Spotlight on Brent Eddy: Wairarapa's Winemaking Luminary [sound of coffee being spat, Colbert-like, onto the keyboard]

What is Brett and Eddy's Relationship?

In the world of winemaking, collaboration often leads to innovation [and on occasion competitive jealousies and the bearing of grudges! Note: did you know that a gathering of winemakers is commonly referred to as a "wanker" of winemakers?]. The relationship between Brett and Eddy is a testament to this. Brett, a fellow winemaker and friend, has worked closely with Eddy on several projects [to be fair, we've collaborated over a lifetime!], sharing knowledge and techniques that have enriched both their craft.

Their partnership is built on mutual respect [well, he is a big guy, with a menacing single eyebrow and Irish/Scots blood, so ...] and a shared vision for elevating Wairarapa wines [that is true]. Together, they have experimented with new grape varieties [that is not true. Unless he's holding something back on me! Bastard!] and sustainable practices, pushing the boundaries of what the region can offer [and reality can bear!].

Highlights of Their Collaboration

  • Joint vineyard management initiatives [name one thing you've done without me Brett!] .

  • Sharing resources and expertise to improve wine quality. [I did let him have some Celstab last vintage. Never paid me back mind. Typical].

  • Supporting each other in navigating the challenges of the wine industry [we're going to need more identities to help get through this one].

This relationship exemplifies the spirit of community and innovation that defines Wairarapa's winemaking culture [schizoprehnic? bipolar? delusional?].

Personally, I don't think we're ready for self-driving cars.

Happy New Year to our friends & supporters.

Well written wrap up for the end of the year. Currently quaffing rose which is very smooth and delightful. Keep up the good work.
